Chili Sin Carne with Vegetable Minced Meat


  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 bowl of vegetable minced meat (approx. 175 g)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder
  • 2 teaspoon ground cumin (djinten)
  • ¼ teaspoon chili pepper
  • 1 bag of pepper mix (3 pieces)
  • 1 pack of tomato sauce (tomato frito, 350 g)
  • 1 can of corn (200 grams), drained
  • 1 can of chili beans (400 g), drained


Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the onion for 3 minutes. Add the garlic and fry for another 1 minute. Add the minced meat, paprika powder, cumin and chili pepper and fry for 4 minutes over medium heat. Stir regularly. In the meantime, halve the peppers lengthwise and remove the seeds. Cut the flesh into cubes. Add to the mixture and cook for 5 minutes. Add the tomato frito and let it simmer over low heat for 8 minutes.

Add the corn and beans, stir and heat for another 3 minutes. Divide the chili sin carne among 4 plates. Delicious with fresh coriander, nachos and/or rice.

Tip : You can add different types of beans, also try black beans or kidney beans.
